“I have a theory!” Lee announced in the middle of Defence Against The Dark Arts one afternoon.
Angelina expected the worse.
“What,” she said shortly.
“Leprechaurns.”
Angelina, slightly shocked, took a moment to think this through.
“What about them?”
“Someone put them in the wash, didn’t they?” Lee said. It wasn’t a question. A statement.
“I’m sorry, what?”
“Someone shrunk them. In the wash. You know how they say don’t mix your colours? Someone put them in the wash, with,say..a green jumper. Vola! Little green people!”
“Lee, you are a fool.”
“But the cleverest fool you’ll ever see,” he winked.
