“I bet I can control it.” James said with a grin.
“No you can’t.” Sirius challenged.
“Watch and learn.” James said and walked a step closer to the tree.
“James don’t! You will get hurt.” Lily said fearfully.
James then began speaking in another language, but the tree continued to batter at them.
“I don’t think the tree speaks parseltounge mate.” Sirius chuckled. James scowled at him and continued to talk in his foreign language.
When the tree froze, everybody looked at James in amazement. Even he looked amazed. “I did it!”
“No. I did.” Remus said, holding a stick.
