No one messed with him and Quidditch!
Besides, it was BUNBURY. This behavior was just expected by now.
He raised his hand. "Can I give it a go too, Professor?" he asked her. Quote:

She peeked over the professor and eyed the crazy little plants. She was sure, positively sure, they'd eat her alive. Her classmates looked to be having a pretty good time, though. Well...some of them, at least. "Don't be shy, now, no need to take turns." Ha, that was a laughable idea. The Devil's Snare taking turns strangling students.
"So yes Jack, LouAnn, go ahead and attempt to tackle the Snare," Bunbury shooed the Gryffindors toward the plant with her lovely stolen wand. It made a nice tingling feeling in her when she waved it about excessively. Quote:

"Uh, professor, do we have to touch it?" She asked. Nikki wasn't really a calm kind of person. She had a short temper, she wasn't the type to sit still for long, and she certainly wasn't someone who could go five minutes without talking.
But if letting the plant wrap around you was neccessary, then she'd [s]unwillingly[/u] do it. Nikki waited for the professor to reply to her, looking over at some of the students who were slowly being pulled toward the Devil Snare. Some of them clearly weren't following the professors advice to stay calm, and honestly, Nikki couldn't help but smirk. "No you don't haaave to touch it," Bunz raised an eyebrow at the Slytherin. Just looking out for herself, was she? Smart girl. "At least notice how it treats your classmates though." Quote:

More like yes.
If Olivia died before the match against Jack Fritzera's team and Willow ended up without one of her chasers, the seventh year would personally make Olivia pay for it, whether she was dead or not. Because you've better believe that Willow would find a way.
HMPH. "Kovac," the professor called out, "too afraid to approach the Devil's Snare?" Or did her face always have that permanent scowl etched onto it? Quote:

Upon hearing someone talk about how 'innocent' werewolves and vampires were, Evelyn snorted and turned to whoever was talking about them and she spotted Rafe. Oh. Well she definitely wasn't going to yell at him about that stuff. He was generally a nice person. Which reminded her...'I still have yet to congratulate him on making the quidditch team! Ugh, I'm such a horrible person...'
Walking over, and forgetting all about herself panicking and the devils snare, she smiled sweetly and was just about to talk to him when she noticed the wand in the professor's hands. No. No no no no NO NO! That was HER wand! The professor was HOLDING IT! Ah! Let it go! Stop touching it!! "Professor, I'll have a go with the devils snare." she heard herself say, walking over to the plant and keeping her eyes on her dark wand. Evelyn was a little worried though, since the voice in her mind hadn't done anything to take control or...anything! The last time someone touched her wand, it didn't end pretty. But this time...nothing was happening. Weird...
Standing as close to the professor as she could, she mindlessly stuck her arm out and touched the snare, feeling the vines wrap around her arm immediately surprising her, but she didn't care. She was too busy staring at her wand and trying to secretly reach out to it to grab it, though the snare was slightly holding her back. Bunz flipped and twirled her current wand from hand to hand, as careless as a Muggle drum majorette. She was absolutely oblivious to the Devil's Snare creeping up not just the arms but also the legs and robes of the Slytherin trying to sneak her wand back. Quote:

Sigh. Livvy took a deep breath and let her arm loosen up and relax. She let her muscles that were once tense, let go of the feeling. She stood perfectly still, her arm limp in the grasps of the vines. Didn't she hear something about standing still from a student earlier? Whatever. Livvy hoped that it'd work. Because if SHE lost that arm. Or if SHE died. She'd come back and make that kid pay. If she was dead, Livvy would just come back and haunt her. And maybe haunt Bunbury a tad bit for making them do this.
It was only sensible.
Livvy glanced over to where Willow stood and boy did she NOT look happy. Then again. The girl was NEVER happy. EVER. Livvy began to wonder if her Quidditch Captain had difficulties experiencing emotions or maybe it was a permanent Botox where her face just remained the same forever.
Did Devil's Snare like tickle fights? Livvy had the slightest urge to begin one, but she wasn't sure how the plant would act towards that. When the Ravenclaw girl went limp, the Snare got bored and slowly retracted its tendrils to seek out another victim. Bah. 'Claws were too smart to squeeze... unless one of them stuck its head out so the plant could make brain!juice.... Quote:

Soon he felt a few of the tendrils wrap around his arm and squeeze. He was immeadiatley freaked out but he tried his hardest and eventually calmed himself and didn't move to free his arm. OOH another Gryffindork! This was clearest the least intelligent of all the Houses since all of them seemed to want to dance a tangly tango with Snarey. The plan immediately latched onto Chris' arm, crawling its way up to his shoulder and squeezing as it went... just testing the boy to see if he would fight back.
