She sighed melodramatically and placed a soothing hand on top of where the Snare had wrapped around Josh's arm. It stopped tightening and fighting the boy although it didn't let go of his arm just yet... it just kind of sat there and held him entangled as if it was waiting for something.
The snare wanted — and deserved — an apology, obviously.
"Yes, relax and apologize for insulting and cursing at the Devil's Snare and I'm sure it will let you go," Bunbury nodded at LouAnn and petted the plant lovingly from beside Josh. "See boy, I told yo---"
She cut herself off with a sudden glare to LouAnn. "Don't even THINK about getting your wands. NO SUNLIGHT. NONE. I am enough of a deterrent. See, the Snare has already stopped trying to yank Josh's arm off."
It wasn't letting go, but at least it wasn't causing him as much pain now. And to be on the safe side, Bunz summoned the box of wands to her side and levitated them to sit by her feet. "Don't even think of coming closer, any of you, or making a move for your wands. I'm serious."
The Devil's Snare was also very serious. It suddenly seemed to get nervous and fidgety now that the wands were sitting thisclose to its base. The vines enclosing Josh's wrist started to move and quiver a little, just snaking around and shifting although it didn't tighten at all. It must have felt like some sort of jiggling bangle or bracelet to the boy.
"Ha ha haaaa," the redhead laughed dryly at Copernicus, not budging from her calming of the plant however. "That's the next course of action, actually."
"If you wish to test yourself against this plant, I'd suggest coming over HERE to this much more individual specimen." Bunz didn't notice that the plant was starting to tug at Josh again now that she had taken her hands off it. "Honestly. Or if you can't pay attention, then I can assign you something to do until we move to the next part of the lesson."
Josh was trying to concatrate but the voices behind shouting him to relax were the main obstacle to it. He was distracted too easily and there was still the fact that a wild plant was attacking him. He simply glared at the Ravenclaw boy after he asked what he thought about knocking him out ''I think you are the brightest Ravenclaw i have ever seen. Try it yourself if you dare'' he said sarcastically and looked back at the plant to think of another way to get rid of its annoying and hurting vines.
It could take a full grown Dragon at ease!? Very good. He tried not to pay attention to anything Professor Bunbury and other students was uttering for they were not helping. Especially the Professor who seemed to enjoy it since she laughed at the Ravenclaw's remark of knocking him out.
He was relieved a little when she kinda made it stop like it was her little pet. 'Devil's Snare or Evil Professor's Pet'. He took this opportunity to have few breaths since he was nearly out of breath thanks to his struggling.
''Apology?'' he replied rebelliously
''To what should i apologize exactly? A bunch of green, sticky vines?''. That was really...pointless. How could a plant understand language?
The Gryffindor did more attempts on freeing himself from the plant as Bunbury was distracted by some other students but gasped the next moment as it started to hurt again.
''Okay, okay...'' he surrendered reluctantly and stopped himself
''I'm sorry for insulting you plant. You are cool and cold.'' then he looked at the professor
''Is it okay now?''
