Then the mooncalves lift their front legs up and start dancing on their hind legs. The movements are beautiful. The first mooncalf twirls around, then the second calf starts twirling while the first one is half through her twirl and so on until ever calf in the line has twirled around. Then the mooncalves divide up into groups of three. The calves jump up and down bouncing their front legs as the move. The Mooncalves then drop their front legs and run around in circles. After that they form a chorus line again and then get back up on their hind legs. The form a series of unique patterns in the ground as they prance back to the maize.
