ok she'd be safe, they'd probably just ignor it, or would they?

Rafe saw this one coming...two were thrown at Jack and Jake and saw that he was a next target, but instead of dodging it, he simply caught the snowball and threw it right back at her, laughing his deep laugh as usual.
