Charlie and Emily looked at each other. "Sit." Charlie said interested in what his son had to tell him. He leaned back in his chair arms folded.

Argghhhh! He looked scary. Chris nodded to his father and gulped. He sat down as he was told to do. "Look dad and mum. I know what we just found out today. But Lena and I have been so close for so long and we are...." He trailed off.

Emily looked shocked at what Chris was saying. They were together??? "Wow." She whispered and looked at her husband.

Charlie was angry period end of story. "How could you even think of doing something like this??? Chris you know I have never cared who you have dated as long as they were respectful to you and to us. And Helena as been that. That's not why I mad. But what happen to the person who was sitting here cry this morning because Melinda is dead?" He asked never raising his voice but there was an edge to it.

"Dad I know she's dead. But Lena and have been almost a couple for so long." He couldn't say anymore his father looked disapointed and he didn't want that. "You should understand dad." He whispered quietly.

"Understand?! Chris you are being hot and cold. Couldn't you two have waited a bit longer?" He asked

"But we have, and I know the timing sucks but it's not like we are rushing things." He told his father.

Charlie couldn't say anymore. "If you feel this is right they we can only be happy for the two of you." He said looking back at Emily who wasn't saying anything at the moment.
