Emiliano was to be there, when Reese starts to cry, at all times she needed him. But he never thought about telling such hard and horrible news to her.
"I'm sorry..." He softly said, holding her hand.
Reese let everything else go over her head except the word 'death' and 'Mel'. If she wasn't sitting in a bench right now, she would have collapsed on the ground beneath her. "She was more than a friend," she said through the tears that had started to form. "She was one of my
best friends." True, she only has been in touch with Mel through letters and stuff, but that girl was someone she was really close too. She looked away from Emiliano once more and she blinked a few more times, and then finally the tears started to travel down her cheek.
Feeling Emiliano holding her hand, she looked back at him. She didn't want to believe this was happening; she didn't want to believe her friend was gone. "I can't believe...I can't believe she's dead," she managed to say. "Just a month or so ago I was writing her and now - now she's gone." That was all she could say before she started crying harder than she had before and placed her head on Emiliano's shoulder.
This was such a HORRIBLE week.
