Lorcan was warmed more by her smile than by the butterbeer or the warmth of the pub. "Well, there's some truth in that. The only other time I blew anything up was when I was eight. Rafe seemed to have spaced out for a moment. He did have quite a bit on his mind, especially after what Arianna had to say. He hoped they wouldn't be fighting long, he would hate to lose his best friend. Before he knew what had happened he was sitting with Alex and a bloke he'd never met before. And butterbeers were in front of him before he could even order, "Well the next round is definitely on me," he said as he took a sip of the delicious warm beverage. "Oh. Salut! It's nice to meet you," he said as he was introduced by Lucy to Lorcan. "And you already to seem to have caught onto my name." He smiled kindly.

Rafe blushed slightly at the comments about be accompanied by "two lovely girls." He never really thought about it, but it was true, they were quite pretty. He simply smiled and shrugged it off.

Rafe scoffed a little when they said Alexandra trouble. He found that hard to believe. Try causing a lung to disappear, he thought. Rafe simply leaned back and let the conversation continue.

Lorcan realised that the other male in the party wasn't exactly saying anything and had blushed when he had mentioned that the girls were pretty. Perhaps being brought up without his father meant that he had a slightly more female perspective on things, but he knew that girls like to be told that they were pretty, wether they would admit that or not.

He turned to Rafe with a friendly smile. "So, what do you think of Hogwarts then?" He hoped to make a new male friend, he was feeling rather out numbered by girls at every turn.
