Lorcan was about to stand up and just abandon his meal and go back to the common room when he saw Kay, looking positively wretched. With guilt burning deeply in his stomach, he called out "Kay! Have you eaten? Come and sit with me!" He smiled as broadly as he could, beckoning her over to him. He had to cheer her up, he was responsible for her current state, he just knew it.
