Sweeping her hair over her shoulder and smirking she said, "I'll just tell you this, if I were you I would go around talking about other people when I had so much to worry about." She eyed her ominously and turned to leave.
Looking back over her shoulder she said, "See ya Lorcan." And she laughed mirthlessly on her way out the door. Lorcan listened as the girl's got angrier and angrier with each other. Was this really all about hair? He blinked stupidly, trying to wprk out just what was going on. Kay stepped infront of him, as though she was going to defend him and he felt slightly insulted. Why would he need defending from Alexandra? He noticed that they were both gripping thier wands and talking about hexing each other. Did they even know how to cast hexes? He saw that Maire too had her wand drawn, this was getting silly. He was doing a marvellous goldfish impression, opening his mouth to speak only to be cut off over and over by both girls. When Alexandra made a dig about Kay having enough to worry about, he said "Oh come off it Alexa-" only to be cut off by her farewell.
He turned to Kay "Kay, listen I'm sure she's just -" But Kay had become hysterical. Quote:

"I have to leave, go home, no not home, My grandmother will be so mad that I got..." Kay stop talking and looked around. "God, I just said all of that out loud." Kay started to cry and turn to get out of the door before Lorcan could stop her. When Kay turned she saw Marie looking at her. 'Great two friends' Kay thought. Just run, run all the way back to the common room and into the dorm. Then you can just wait to be kicked out. Well, he was seriously insulted now. After everything she still doesn't trust me! he thought furiously. He watched as she talked herself into a frenzy, again becoming a goldfish impersonator, opening his mouth to speak, only to be completely ignored by Kay. When she burst into tears and ran out of the shop, he was at a complete loss as to what to do. He cast a helpless glance at Marie and then launched himself after her shouting "Kay, wait! Kaytone, please wait!"
