He grabbed one of her gloved hands and smiled at her. "Want to go into one of the shops?" he asked. His treat. He really didn't care which one they went into. He just figured that Mariel was cold and wanted to be warm.

Noticing that that he was now busy talking to Reese about something - did they forget about him? - he decided to get them both with a huge snowball.
Bending down, he packed a huge pile of snow together, finding it a bit hard for him to hold in his hands. It was so big!
He then hurled it in their direction... missing them and hitting a girl in the face.

Mariel shook her head gently as Nathaniel offered his coat.
"I'm already wearing one." Duh. How was she going to walk around wearing two coats? That didn't make a lot of sense to her as she'd look like a complete dork and he'd need to be shipped off to St Mungo's with the world's worst case of frost bite. Still, she thought it was kind of sweet for him to offer. She nodded vaguely at the mention of another hat as she tugged down her hat further and pulled up on her scarf so that only her eyes were visible.
Then finally, she looked down at her hand as Nathaniel grabbed it and nodded vigorously. The were finally getting out of this horrid weather.
"Yeah, how about..." her muffled voice started to choose the shop closest to them because she honestly did not care which warm haven they stepped into when she felt a snowball smack her squarely in the face. Thankfully her scarf and hat covered her face enough that she hardly felt the bitter sting of frost against her skin, but she hardly saw that as the point. Stunned, she stood still for a moment before turning on the spot, eyes searching in annoyance for the cause of the snow in her face.
Certain she found the source, as the boy looked plenty guilty enough to her, Mariel grabbed two handfuls of snow from the ground and pushed them together to form one large snowball. "
Now you're going to be sorry!" her muffled voice yelled as she pummeled the snowball towards him as she would a quaffle to the goals.
