Lyra looked at Evan and didn't know what to say. Now that he had admitted his feelings towards Fallon, it was odd talking to him. "eh.. Evan, by the way.. i uh..." she sighed a bit and looked at her shoes. "now that your here too, i wanted to thank you for what you've done in the Great Hall" she said looking down at her shoes, which she couldn't see well because they were black.

Evan raised both of his hands into the air when Lyra pointed her wand. Eek! Luckily though, she recognised him. He grinned but wondered inwardly if he was torturing her while being so friendly and all. Maybe it'd be just better if he stepped out of her life? 'Your ego's talking,' his sanity said. Wow, it had been gone for a long time. She obviously does not suffer, because she is casually talking to you. You weren't much of a deal. She sees you as a friend now. Evan nodded inwardly again, and it was good that she didn't care it. Because she was still super cool, and he didn't know what he would do without her.

He chuckled at her lame excuse. "Yeah, right. Anything interesting?" he asked and chuckled again. Yay for him catching a lie! He was getting better at this. Maybe in the future, he would even be able to lie properly!

He smile faded when she started like that. There was something wrong. His heart sank at the thought of "I'd better go." Nooo! She couldn't go! Although Evan was still looking for a reason, he liked passing time with Lyra. She was more alive than Fallon, and he enjoyed her company ~~more~~. But what came next surprised him. Of course he'd help her! What did she think he was? Dating Fallon didn't change him any worse. "Duh, Lyra." he said, rolling his eyes. "What did you think? I'll just go away?"
