Rafe just smiled and laid his chin in his hands on the desk. He yawned. "That's Robert Burns, the poem that is. My mum made me learn poetry in different languages," he said with a shrug. "Oh poetry!" He yawned once more waiting for the professor to continue with the lesson.
Evelyn had spotted Josh on the other side of the room, and she was just about to wave at him when Rafe started speaking. Turning her attention back to him, she became confused for a moment on what he was talking before she realized he was speaking poetry. Keeping as silent as she could, including trying to hold her breathe, she listened to the words he spoke, mesmerized. When he finished, she couldn't do anything but just sit there. "I-i...umm..." she tried to speak. Clearing her throat, she looked down at the rose in her hands, trying to hide her embarrassed blush. "You know poetry?" Well it was a stupid question with an obvious answer that he already said, but she couldn't think of anything else to say. She loved poetry, but was rarely able to read any at home. It wasn't 'serious' enough for their family, her father and mother used to say. Even now, Evelyn thought that was a lame excuse from her parents.
