The woman raised an eyebrow at his tone, "Why?" Hmph. Did he think he could order her around now?
A bitter smile came to her lips as he mentioned his heart, "Or did you just decide you didn't want to feel anymore?" She sighed. He seemed a little more comfortable but she had no more questions to ask. She felt guiltier, if possible, than she had when she'd left. The guilt brought about regret and she knew if she harbored it for long enough she would crack and tell him. Was that what she wanted? Torn between her defiance to prove a point and love she found herself staring at him, biting her lip and evaluating the situation. If she did tell him, she wasn't sure how she'd get herself out of the situation with the whole murder thing (although she suspected he knew she hadn't done it).
"He killed one of my parents" And her decision was made.
Warren noticed the smirk Bella had when he spoke of his dislike of veritaserum and wandered what that was about. Ignoring her own question to his remark he instead made another note. It wasn't until she mentioned not feeling that he looked up, "That is the general idea. I've had too many people around me hurt me." Twirling his quill he watched her contimplate something and he wandered what. She didn't strike him as a murderer though she mightve done bad things. Something she put off didn't scream murderer to him. Looking at the clock he turned back toward her as she spoke and his quill froze mid turn. As her comment fully sank in he put everything together. All the Alexa ticks. It finally all came together as his quill fell to the table. Was this Alexa? Really? Turning his blue eyes to meet hers he searched for a hint of her old spark. "Alexa?"
