Dora met Calla's eyes and said, sincerely, "Thanks, that means a lot." She then lowered her head and shut her eyes. Her body was being torn in two by the turmoil. She needed to get away for a second. Slowly getting up from the desk she said, "I am going to go get s drink of water really quickly, I'll be back." snd she smiled genuinely at Calla and winced as she walked out of the room.
