Putting down the rune, and copying a few things that she said onto her paper, she picked out another rune from her bag. "So your second rune is for the present, and it is a...Salamander. Hey, your favorite." Evelyn giggled quietly set the rune down next to the first one. "The Salamander represents Restoration, life, heat, Fire, thriving in adversity, dependence, passion...and umm, passionate love, protection, and tempermental. Well that definitely describes you right now i think." she smirked and holding in her laugh as she looked over at him. "You are a Gryffindor after all. So, this could mean you are becoming passionate about fulfilling your goals in life, you probably know what you want to do and is trying to achieve it any way possible. You are full of life, happy...yup...but thriving in adversity? I guess that could mean either you are overcoming some troubled times or you like a challenge." she mumbled the last few words as she stared at the two runes on the desk. 'Seems good so far.' she thought as she grabbed her rune bag again. "Living in the moment."
"And your future rune is..." she squeezed her eyes shut for more dramatic effect and took out a rune. "A thing. Wow, what is that..." Looking in her book, she tried to find the picture that was identical to the one on the rune. "A Fwooper. Looks like Big Foot decided to become a bird." she mumbled, reading the description. "It means Insanity, emotions, happyness, impurity, negative beauty, and natural equalization. Well it has the word happiness in it." she smiled up at Josh. "Hmm, but it also says insanity and negative beauty...so i'm afraid that means you are going to turn insane and become ugly when you're older." Evelyn couldn't hold in her laugh after she finished her sentence, and continued to laugh for the next minute or so. "Sorry, sorry. Just kidding." Holding her sides, as they were starting to ache from laughing too hard, she calmed herself down. "That could just mean you will be crazy about your job and happy with your life and since i believe you said you wanted to be an auror, negative beauty could translate into messy work. Not like, your doing a sloppy job or anything, i mean being an auror is a lot of hard work and is a 'messy' job, if you know what i mean." Putting the last rune down next to the other two, she jotted down some more notes on her parchment. "Or something could go wrong, but that doesn't seem likely with you."
Looking up at Josh, she smiled widely and sweetly at him. "Seems like both our futures aren't going to turn out so bad after all." She hoped that it didn't sound too out there, but it was the best she could do. She was way good at this than him, it was obvious. She seemed like she was not just making up meanings but really could guess. He carefully listened to what she told about his runes and laughed at his future as well. ''So, now, i know why you had such a difficulty with deciding between me and the Astronomy professor'' he picked up the scarlet phoenix quill that Rose bought for him and took down some notes about her comments on the runes. Merely the parts he remembered. 'Salamander' yes it nearly described him in every aspect. Maybe Runes was not all rubbish at all. ''You were great!'' he said enthusiastically ''I'm very impressed. Wow you really do success in impressing me every time'' . He did not care about the future 'dangers' much at all so the few bad meanings was nothing to him.
