Zoe's ears were still buzzing. She could see other students responding, but she couldn't make out what they were saying. Then the professor yelled, which luckily made it through the din.
Raising her hand along with the other students she asked, "Could it be non-verbal spells, sir? I have heard that they are quite advanced. Is that true?" her voice still louder than normal. Maybe she should learn a noise muffling charm or a hearing protection spell before her next Charms lesson.
