I dunno, I never feel comfortable when I'm alone with a girl I don't know, and when dey're being, say, a little too friendly, I always look for an excuse, any excuse, to get away from the scene. And it's all out. He was glad that he didn't have to keep that silly problem to himself anymore. Maybe Evan could help him sort it out. One thing he hadn't mentioned though, he felt quite comfortable with Lucille and Xy, and Rhea, but that's it. Lucille had been, well, his childhood friend, and his best one. Xy and Rhea? Maybe they were, like, older, but doesn't seniority always make him feel idiotic? Sigh. He drank what remains of his glass of butterbeer, pouting.
"I--uuh..." Evan struggled to explain why he was smiling. Seriously, why did he, his friend was really sad! When he couldn't come up with a sensible reason, he shut up, and concentrated on Ray.
Aw... he was shy? Wasn't that the word? Or was he afraid they wouldn't like him? But, if that was the case he shouldn't be comfortable with boys too. And he was pretty comfy with Evan. Well girls would hate him if he'd keep doing it, that was for sure. Evan mused for a minute before talking.
"So you're too shy, and afraid they wouldn't like you, that you might talk or behave wrong?" he asked, trying to summarize it. He felt Rayedem wanted a solution, but Evan had to understand first, and he was never good with words.
