Evan really didn't know what to say about the pink haired boy, so he just remained silent and thought for something to talk about. He wasn't ready to get back to the castle yet.
He smiled again when Rayedem said he had a problem the blondie was good at. Probably girls, as he was best at that. He realised too late that it was actually rude to smile when someone, particularly your best friend, had a problem, and quickly erased that silly smile. Clearing his throat to look totally normal, he asked "Go on." It was like discussing business. He liked the idea of being the "advicer" for the first time.
"What are you smiling at?" Edem asked, frowning, a sad expression on his face. He sighed, then continued soon as Evan said it was okay to go on.
"I.. You probably have guessed dis. And it's not that I'm troubled wid dis, it's just.. I dunno, I never feel comfortable when I'm alone with a girl I don't know, and when dey're being, say, a little too friendly, I always look for an excuse, any excuse, to get away from the scene. I'm afraid they'd hate me for dis."
And it's all out. He was glad that he didn't have to keep that silly problem to himself anymore. Maybe Evan could help him sort it out. One thing he hadn't mentioned though, he felt quite comfortable with Lucille and Xy, and Rhea, but that's it. Lucille had been, well, his childhood friend, and his best one. Xy and Rhea? Maybe they were, like, older, but doesn't seniority always make him feel idiotic? Sigh. He drank what remains of his glass of butterbeer, pouting.
