And part of him wanted to forgive her for what she said. But he was still too hurt. She had broken off their friendship before he could explain to her.

"Why did you say all that if you didn't mean it? Say you weren't my friend anymore." He glared at her before moving on. "And I had been trying to tell you that I had talked to Jack and he agreed with me to wait it all out."

He was getting tired of this conversation already and wanted to move on with things.
