"Here yah go," he said, handing over the glass to Evan and sat down on his chair, then listened to him again.
"13 is debinitely bedder than 12," he said once Evan had finished talking. His next question sounded rather rhetorical to Edem, but still he answered to it, "No, ob course nod.. You be wid someone, den you talk to dem, and you feel combordable wid dem, and you can be yourselb around dem.. Those stubb. I don't understand much." he said truthfully. Scratching his head, he continued, "Just dink wisely, Eban. Don'd regred id in de end." he said, taking his first sip of the butterbeer hoping that it'd taste as good as Rhea had described to him. Well.. Not bad. Definitely better than pumpkin juice.
Evan smiled again when Rayedem came back with the drinks. He muttered
"Thanks..." to him before he drank all of the water. He wished he could try firewhisky. It was better than Butterbeer, but it had to wait too.
Back to their topic, Evan nodded. He felt a lot better now that he could say everything to Rayedem, who had advised him pretty wise. He was himself around both of them, but Lyra was more... lively. And he felt at the end, he'd choose Lyra, though he was still unsure. He thought some more and then looked at Rayedem.
"So, anything new with you?" he asked and smiled again, obviously feeling better.
