Arrick froze in his tracks at hearing Abigail's yell and looked around him frantically...and saw nothing. Was she just trying to play him so she could get at something first, or did she really see something around the pen that he didn't?

He frowned and turned around to frown at Abigail, then looked around the pen and beyond it. There wasn't anything to be seen that looked like it was out for his blood.

He resumed frowning at Abigail again and took a few steps to his left, away from his previous path. There seemed to be some bits of what looked like hair snagged on one of the posts, which he pocketed. It was probably just hair from a regular old horse or a long wispy stalk of hay, since Arrick couldn't tell what was what, but it was something.
