Blinking at the boy, Jake glanced quickly out of the window and just about caught sight of the owlveering to the right slightly, then down, then right again, then back up.
Jake recognised that gait.
"FLYYYYYYY!" he called out of the window suddenly, before sticking his fingers in his mouth and making an ear-piercing, shrill whistle... but it was too late.
Turning around, a slightly dark look on his face, Jake narrowed his eyes at this boy. "Who told you you could-?" he started, before breathing in and trying to remain calm. Maybe he would be back tomorrow. "Where did you send him?"
Rayedem's mouth fell slightly open as the boy got past him, looking through the window and called out.. His owl's name?
Goodness I am in trouble. His hands leapt to his ears, covering them from the high-frequency sound.
Goodness! He backed away a few steps, as if afraid that the boy would suddenly explode.
"S-sorry, I-I-I thought it was a school owl, honestly!" he stammered under the pressure of the boy's glare. Even though he looked like he's calmed down, Rayedem was really afraid now--that's the most dangerous kind of anger. Pile them up inside and let them all burst at once. Doesn't sound good. He was still stammering when he answered the boy's question.
"T-To.. My sister in France," he paused, looking directly into the boy's eyes just so as to indicate that he wasn't lying--only he didn't know how big a deal sending an owl abroad was,
"and t-to my parents.. I-in Seattle." he ended, hoping that honesty would do him justice.
