He started to think dumbly that the place might've been cursed somehow.
But he didn't want another trouble. Not when everything seemed to be perfect. But the boy's question was.. Was.. What?
"Er.. Nope? I don't have an owl," he answered, hoping that it was the owl that the boy had a problem with, "What's wrong? It-it looked just fine, I guess." as he ended his statement, he had a feeling that the boy wasn't going to be good news.
Blinking at the boy, Jake glanced quickly out of the window and just about caught sight of the owlveering to the right slightly, then down, then right again, then back up.
Jake recognised that gait.
"FLYYYYYYY!" he called out of the window suddenly, before sticking his fingers in his mouth and making an ear-piercing, shrill whistle... but it was too late.
Turning around, a slightly dark look on his face, Jake narrowed his eyes at this boy. "Who told you you could-?" he started, before breathing in and trying to remain calm. Maybe he would be back tomorrow. "Where did you send him?"
