As Edem struggled with tieing the letters to the owl's legs, she started giggling. It wasn't that difficult for her, and she had gotten used to it. `You need some help? Maybe I could do it for you, I'm used to it,' Chelle offered kindly. She didn't want Edem to get that wrong. It was just a friendly approach.
`Well, you just told me that you were going to send a letter to your parents and sister!' Chelle reminded Edem. `I have a sister too. She's younger to me. I love her a lot, and so does she.' Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke of her family, but she blinked them away.
Rayedem nodded, turned his head and smiled slightly at Chelle,
"Same goes to you, then. Who would forget someone's name on purpose, now?" he asked rhetorically, resuming his struggle on the owl. His hands were trembling then, and so were the owl's leg. He decided to pull his hands away, letting it rest for a while before going for his next try.
"Hey, you just laughed at my hardest effort yet." he teased, tilting his head to his right and waving his letters,
"That's not nice, you know? You just watch, I'm gonna tie these firm and tight on the owl." he said, his mouth curled into an 'o' and sighed. He glanced at the owl, who had turned its head away from him. Maybe it was mad, or maybe it thought Rayedem was making fun of it.
I told her? I did? He felt like banging his head to the wall when he realized he'd forgotten. His mind had probably just wondered to where it shouldn't have. He decided to get back to tying his letter--this couldn't wait much longer anyway.
UGH! "We all miss our families," he began, still looking at the owl,
"how old is she? Is she going to attend Hogwarts too?" he asked, curious about the other muggle families. There's always a possibility that the magical blood might not pass to both children.
