Defense Against the Darks Arts---LouAnn's second favorite subject just after History of Magic. Both subjects had played an important role in her life so far, so she'd always enjoyed studying them. Textbook already in hand, she made her way into the classroom, making an effort to stop by the professor's desk and introduce herself before she took a seat. The professor seemed to have made himself comfortable, as his feet were propped up on the desk he sat behind. LouAnn smiled at him, then said, "Hello, Professor. I'm LouAnn Purple," she told him.

She said nothing else, but instead moved further into the classroom to find an empty seat. Her eyes scanned the room, and she took in the sight of the platforms and harnesses, as well as a cage of who-knew-what on the professor's desk. She'd missed that little detail when she'd passed by the desk and introduced herself a few moments earlier. There were other items set up in various places around the room, but LouAnn assumed she'd find out more about those in all due time. She got comfortable in her desk, cracked open her textbook, and began to read a chapter about boggarts and how best to defeat them.
