Maybe some do ask a veela for an eyelash or a hair or whatever. Maybe some sneak it when the creature is sleeping." Shrug. "Perhaps you could ask the local wandmaker in Diagon Alley next time you're out shopping."

Torin raised his hand. "Ash is a part of Celtic Astrology, Professor. It lasts from February 18 - March 17." He remembered that from his old school. How it lasted a month and ended on St. Patrick's day.

"I think that he may have been born within that time.. And if so would that heighten the strength of his wand?" Yet again he was just guessing.
