He smiled at her sincerely with her next words. "No house pride? Well, you'll just have to root on Slytherin at the Quidditch matches," he finally said as his smile faded into an amused smirk. True, Gryffindors are rash, have obscene tempers, and have a tendency to be self-sacrificing, but that can't really be a reason to hate being in the house." Although it was enough for him to hate being in it if he was, but he wasn't. The temper comment he just threw in for good measure.

"Yeah. Trophy wives, money, and pure blood. Say no more. I get it, I think. It's funny because I don't really like it, but I'm proud of the money and the status. I like it, or maybe I've grown to like it. I just contradicted myself, didn't I?" He laughed and then paused. "Maybe I just don't really know. Maybe I chose to like it because I knew it was inevitable. We are who we are." Though the money and pure blood shouldn't have defined who he was, but it did. To other people, it did.

It was a nice change to have a nice conversation with someone. He wasn't ordinarily like this. "You will cheer for the Slytherins though, won't you?" he asked with a smile. "If I don't make the team, then I'll cheer with you. You'll be Gryffindor's traitor. It'll be great." He was joking. Maybe. No, not really.

Alex giggled a bit as Damon's words. "Perhaps, it did that. I heard some mutterings about bravery and all that stuff, but mostly it was just ..'You would do well in Slytherin.. and you have a great mind, you would do well in Ravenclaw.. Slytherin, Ravenclaw.. Gryffindor??' And then it shouted it out.. At least it wasn't hufflepuff!" She said with a laugh. "Oh no, being mortal enemies with you? That would be terrible.." She said with a nod as she pretended to get her wand out.. "Hex you ehh? Perhaps I shall just make you fall over with my amazing charm!" She said as she playfully batted her eyelashes at him.

Alex nodded, "Well you see my twin sister, was put into Slytherin. So I guess I have a bit more of a reason to hate Gryffindor, but she isn't here this year.. But I guess bravery isn't alll that bad.. Sorta.. They are kinda.. full of themselves a bit.. Gryffindor pride and all that!" She sighed, "But I got put in a house that made me "mortal enemies" With my twin sister.. Can you see why I don't like being a Gryffindor? I don't even like red!" She said with a shake of her head, she watched him smirk a little and her stomach flipped again.. This is new.. She thought to herself as she watched him.

Alex laughed when Damon contradicted himself, "Yes you did, but I think I understand, all your life, you have been prided on being a wealthy pure blooded witch or wizard in your case.. And while you may hate the life style, in a way you grow to like it, or become use to it.." She nodded, she certainly had. Even with both her parents gone, she and her brothers still lived well... "You are right, we are who we are, but I for one will fight tooth and nail before becoming anyone's trophy wife, it didn't do my mother any good.." She looked down for a second before looking back up and blinking, and tucking a lock of blonde hair behind her ear.

She was glad for the change of subject and she nodded. " Of course I will cheer for the Slytherin's, and you if you make the team. If not, well we can cheer together!" She said smiling up at him.
