"I was just passing through," he replied, flashing her a quick smile before shifting the direction of his eyes out the window to look over the grounds.
He shrugged, smirking a little as he met her gaze again. "As long as you don't start crying, sure," he replied in a neutral tone. It was true though. He didn't know how to handle tears, so he would probably just walk away if she started. Luckily, she didn't appear as though she was about to cry, so he figured he was safe for the time being. "So what's on your mind, if you don't mind me asking?"
Alex laughed a little as the boy spoke. "I don't cry." She said shaking her head, her blonde hair flying everywhere.
I ran out of tears a long time ago.. She thought to herself as she sighed a bit and looked back up at him.
"No, I don't mind your asking.." Alex hesitated for a second..
"I have a secret.. one that don't want anyone to find out about, one that is apart of who I am.. One that will change the way people look at me.." She sighed more, her gray eyes were clearing a little, losing their distracted look.
"But you see, Someone has already figured it out, says it's obvious.. and now I am wondering.. what to do.. Seeing as now.. I'll never know for sure.. exactly what people think of me.." She looked out at the lake again and shifted her weight, an amazingly graceful movement. Even for a movement so small.
The sun was coming in through the window a little, giving her hair, and her skin a subtle glow..
"Oh, I am Alexandrina by the way, but you can call me Alex if you want." She said a small smile on her face.
