Tibi thought it sounded fishy that his sister never came home and never wrote, but opted not to say anything.

"Mum wants me to write whenever I can. She was nervous about sending me, I could tell, but she promised my dad she would." Tibi paused. There had been a lot of owls in the owlry when he went up there last time.

"You know, I don't think you need your own owl.. I think the school has some you can borrow!" Tibi smiled. "That way, you don't have to wait to write to your parents!"

Feeling better, Tibi reached for a clean plate, pushing his slop out of the way, and grabbed a few handfuls of food. Eating slowly, he turned back to Rayedem. "So... where are you from, anyway?"
