Satine walks into a huge empty looking room after following the directions Professor Lawson had handed out at the end of the first DADA class. She's not really sure what's she's getting herself into, but knowing Professor Lawson, it's going to be exciting, different, and challenging.

The thoughts of last year's first assignment fly through her head quickly and she instantly takes a defensive stance and flicks her right wrist, which instantly releases her wand straight into her hand. She's been practicing all summer so the action is smooth and instant, even faster than blur. She notices a cage in the center of the room and walks slowly towards it in her defensive stance to investigate.

Satine puts on her mischievous smile as she hears the flutter of wings in the distance. She quickly moves close to the wall on the right to make sure that her back is covered and that nothing can surprise her from behind. The flutter of the wings seems to be coming closer. Her mind flies with ideas of what the creature could be that was creating such a loud whizzing sound.

Surveying the room, she finally catches the blur of what seems to look like a giant Cornish Pixie just as a book flies quickly past her head. Suddenly, the room is full of Cornish Pixies and Satine tries as hard as she can to get a final count of the oversized, which means extra annoying, Pixies.

As another book flies from another direction towards her head, she realizes that the solution to the issue is to put the Pixies back into their cage in the center. Her thoughts and butterflies in her stomach are moving around quickly as she reviews the spells from the class and some of the basic spells she learned last year.

Suddenly, a blue and green pixie flies closely to her trying to grab her hair. "O no....you didn't" Satine says with pride as she spins around and flicks her wand yelling, "Pertrificus Totalus!" The blue and green pixie instantly freezes in place...it's eyes moving around the sockets quickly as it processed what had happened. With another flick, Satine whispers "Depulso!" and the pixie is thrown backwards into the cage in the center.

Satine smiles with excitement as she watches the gate slam behind the green and blue pixie locking it inside. Her celebration is short lived as a polka dotted pillow flies towards her. She ducks down on the floor and rolls coming up on her knees in a defensive stance pointing her wand towards the new red pixie.

The red pixie winks at Satine as she flicks her wand and yells, "Locomotor Mortis!" The red pixie's legs instantly stick together and the pixie looks like a scary goblin mermaid. Satine winks back at the red pixie as she once again whispers "Depluso." pushing the pixie backwards into the cage. The force of the red pixie hitting the cage so hard knocks the red pixie unconcious for a few minutes.

This is just enough time for Satine to spot the final pixie. This gigantic pixie is the biggest of them all. It towers over Satine and looks like the Jolly Green Giant. She shivers a little bit as she comes back up to her feet, the spells from class running through her head.

Suddenly, the Jolly Green Giant pixie comes running at her. Fearing that the pixie is going to decapitate her with his size and speed, Satine stands her ground and uses the first spell that comes to her mind. "Pertrificus Totalus!" The Jolly Green Giant falls flat on his face and skids across the floor knocking it out. When it finally stops sliding, Satine yells "Depulso!" throwing the body backwards towards the cage. Under her breath she whispers, "And that's how the cookie crumbles."

The door clangs open and Satine quickly moves the pixie's back into the center cage before any of them could recover from the spells.

With a quick flick of her wand, she wraps her purple hair up into a twist up and turns on the spot walking out with a triumphant swing in her step.
