Having sat there for a whole five minutes without being disruptive or anything (not as though he could) Jake amused himself buy tapping out a rhythm with his hands on the arm of the chair. That was when he noticed that even things like THAT wouldn't make a sound, and so he tried to fidget around, as best he can, but being stuck to the chair restricted that.

He may as well be bound and gagged!

As if to anounce that he really was still actually there, Jake leaned back and tried to balance the chair on its back legs. Which was when he realised he could shift the chair along.

...

And so, with the added bonus of not being able to make any noise, Jake began shifting the chair back towards the door. No idea what he'd do if he'd making it out. Heck, his wand was somewhere on the other side of the room.

He doubted the chair could even get through the door.
