Snape sat looking at Malfoy for several minutes before he was finally prepared to answer. Though he had had many talks with the boy since his betrayal, he hadn't once spoken of his own defection. "Not much changed in terms of my relationship with the Dark Lord and his servants. Obviously, any changes of that nature would have betrayed me," he said. "However, those on Dumbledore's side were, and still are, loathe to trust me. Though I have Dumbledore's backing and they appear eager for my reports, you can see that they don't really believe I've changed sides at all."
