Sauntering back up to the line, with a not so wary grin on his face. He figured out with the Hufflepuff boys help, that all this hat was, was a computer. Can read our minds, yeah right!

Finally getting to the front of the line, he sits on the stool, and puts the way to big of a hat on his head. Sliding down over his eyes, it starts to speak.

Trying to keep from giggling, JD listens to the computer speaker talking in his ear.

"Computer, eh." the hat chuckles. "I don't think so. Why else, would I know right now, you thought I was a computer."

"Very bright you are, I see. A good head on your shoulders."

Frightened now JD, looks terrified at the hat that is covering his eyes. Trying to take it off, it stays where it is, unable to be removed because it hasn't sorted the student yet.

"Just a second, young one." The hat replies "Do not be afraid, I will not tell your secrets to no one. They're safe with me."

"Now for your house, as I said you're very smart, you are loyal and braver then you think, but I stand by what I said. You are very bright. So I must say..."

Pausing for a second, he finally shouts Ravenclaw!

Finally able to remove the hat from his head, JD looks amazed at the hat, and what it had said about keeping his secrets. Is it really a hat that can speak...wow!

Jumping off the stool, he heads to his new house's table.
