Niamh heard her name called out and, resisting the urge to skip, walked up to the stool and put the old hat on her head.
"interesting" said a voice in her head.
Am I? I didn't realise she thought to herself.
"Well I always say interesting, it usually makes people feel a bit special, most first years are nervous you see" The hat voice replied, obviously he could hear her thoughts.
nice to know I'm special then she thought sarcastically You can tell sarcam can't you, only I'm not sure how uch you can tell, being an old hat and all Was that rude?
"Oh well I know where your going to go" The hat paused for effect then shouted SLYTHERINE!!! There, you happy?" he added in a whisper
"YES!!" she shouted before pulling the hat off her head and skipping over to the cheering table. This was going to be a great year!
