Kai heard his name called and stepped up towards the hat. He took a deep breath and turned to the other first years. He slowly sat down on the seat. He felt the large hat being place on his head. He flinched when he heard the booming voice.
"Hmm, lets see..." the hat spoke loudly. Kai held his breath. "Ah yes, I remember your mother! A curious student she was..." it was silent. The hat frowned. "You take in her footsteps." Kai smirked. "But, you are cunning and loyal. You may think you know a lot, but there is much more to learn, Kai..." he warned. It was silent for a few more seconds before the hat bellowed "SLYTHERIN!" The hat was lifted off Kai's head and he smiled, walking in the direction of the house table.
