"No, really. Enjoy your chocolate, I'll go and buy sometime." he said and gently pushed her hand away. If he started to eat, he wouldn't stop and that wouldn't leave a good impression. Although he was skinny, he turned to a monster when it came to sweets.
And she was like the tenth person to say Hogwarts food was delicious. But Evan put a polite and interested expression, and listened. He then smiled too, and said "Yes, I heard the foods are delicious. Well, I heard everything is perfect. I can't believe I was kept away for a year from that wonderful castle! Which grade are you in, by the way?" There, he was again talking too much as he was excited. He stopped, and waited for her to answer. Oh, he didn't even introduced himself! He gave a shy smile and quickly added "I'm Evan Cartwright."
She looked at the boy as he refused the chocolat and she didn't insist. She put the chocolat carefully wrapped in papar on her bag since she was talking to him, not mention it would be seriously rude to keep on eating it while he had been drawned by the smell of the chocolat.
"You can get them in the food trolley, becfore we get to Hogwarts. 'Cause once we're at Hogwarts we'll only leave to go Hogsmeade, which only happens on weekends." she added, thinking about her own chocolat needs. The way the year had started off... She was going to need a lot of chocolat. To eat and to offer as a peace gift.
Eva listened as he spoke about that being his first year at Hogwarts.
"So you're 12..." she commented. Not that she was disappointed or anything.
But she was. Lately, all the people she met were fisties, second or thinrd years... expect for the prince, of course. Once again she reafirmed her decision to look for him once she arrived at Hogwarts. His question brought her back from the moon.
"Me? Oh, I'm a seventh year." she was caught a little off guard b7 the question, probably because she was busy calculating the percentage of seventh year students studying at Hogwarts. With a lopside smile and held out her hand for Evan to shake. She would have returned the question, if he hadn't mentioned already he was in second year.
"I'm Eva Longwood. Nice to meet you, Evan." she introduced herself with her very own girly manners. Aww, well... Those habits would most certainly stay.
