She hadn't seen her owl since the train had left, and now, as she stood in the centre of the lonely compartment, looking completely out of place; her dark hair tied up in low, messy plaits and her black rimmed glasses crooked on the bridge of nose, she highly wished that her owl would return. As if it had read her thoughts, a small black head poked itself out of her pocket and mewed cautiously, curious of the new place to where it had been brought.

Smiling gratefully down at the kitten, glad that Quinto had not yet deserted her, she gently picked him out of her pocket and placed him on the pile of books which now sat, neatly stacked, on the far end of the seat by the window. She then sat down beside him, gazing wistfully out at the scenery, which flashed past in a mix of green, golds and oranges. The countryside... She had never seen such a beautiful sight. And yet, even the tranquility of what lay before could not sooth the nerves in the pit of her stomach. They ate away at her, inside and out. Only the kitten lazing next to her kept her from jumping off the train and running home.

Quinto meowed again, his mouth opening wide in a weary yawn, before closing with a numb snap as his teeth came together. It reminded her of why she was going to Hogwarts in the first place: to learn. Knowledge meant a lot to her; it was the only friend she had. Well, she had met that Keeley girl in the Leaky Cauldron yesterday, but she wasn't sure if she was a friend or not. They'd only had a light conversation, most of it drizzled in awkwardness, but that was mainly Song's fault: her nerves and anxiousness were a pain in the...

She sighed and grabbed a book which lay beside her. Bound in magnificent red leather with the words The Basics of Cloth Sewing inscribed in gold lettered on the front, it was beautiful to behold. Stifling a dark grin, she wondered what her father would say if he found out that there was actually a comic book hidden in the pages. Leaning back in her seat, she began to read, with the words cloth and basic no where in sight.
"You be safe." Devon, Jenn's brother instructed, eyeing her, before looking over at the train then back at Jenn who was looking up at him, her eyes wide with emotion. She didn't want to leave him, not yet. "And.....don't get into trouble, and....remember that....I've got your back, and I love you. Kay? And take this." He handed her a bag, getting a odd look from Jenn. "So, go on." He wrapped his arms around his little sister tightly, not knowing why this year seemed to be so hard to see her go. Maybe it was the fact he wasn't going to school anymore, or maybe it was the fact that, his sister was growing up.

"I love you too, Devon." Jenn whispered softly, pecking him lightly on the cheek before turning on her heel, and picking up her bag, and whistling for her owl and cat. Walking away, she turned back, and waved, a smile on her face. "I'll see you soon!" Then she disappeared into the train.

She couldn't remember the last time it had been this hard to actually find a seat. But maybe it also made it hard, since she wanted one that was empty. All the front seats were full....actually, packed, but the middle ones were just as bad. Luna hissed loudly as someone stepped on her tail, gaining a very nasty glare from Jenn, before she picked up her poor cat, and added her to her already full arms.

Well....the back area wasn't quite as busy, but she hardly knew anyone in there....and they were pretty much full too.

But there was one compartment that was...almost empty. It just had one....a girl she had seen at Diagon Alley not to long ago. Not to bad she guessed. Shrugging she opened the compartment door, shuffling in. Throwing her bags down, she huffed down into the seat, taking Ocean off her shoulder, and Luna off her other shoulder, and placing Ocean on the window seel, and Luna beside her. There. Looking around, she eyed the girl in front of her, eyeing the comic that was in front of the girls face. Finally, she couldn't take it any longer. The silence was maddening!!! "Hi!"she finally chirped out, smiling sweetly at the....glasses, comic girl. "I'm Jennumara Blood, but you can call me Jenn. Everyone else does!" She held out her hand, her brown eyes sparkling.
