He retracted his hand from Jake's shoulder and started fiddling with his fingers. He felt so bummed for Jake, he had parents but he was getting adopted by someone else and his mother didn't care enough for him, how heart-breaking, maybe it was sad for Blakey and not for Jake since Blake's parents took care of his silliest of wishes, worried about his health and saftey yada yada, owww he really felt the urge to give the boy a hug.
He felt a little better when Jake mentioned about his vacation with the Hogwarts teachers, how cool is that? "Are the teachers at Hogwarts really friendly?" He tried to sound a little more happier but he was still fretting over the whole werewolf thing in his head, "Umm Jake, I've heard a lot about Hogwarts, do strange things happen there often? It's not like I am scared but I just want to know so I can keep an eye out for anything dangerous." Man his hyper-ness had vanished somewhere, he need candy...liaaaak right now.
"No worries," Jake shrugged, tilting his head to the side. "I never really knew there was anything wrong, then I never clicked with my dad, see?" He actually really needed to tell Reese about all these developments or something. Meh. "I have no issues talking about it," he added, giving a friendly little smile.
Teachers? Friendly. Yuppers indeed. "Well, Truebridge said he'd take me climbing if I was, like, good last term. Or the rest of it... kind of like an insentive. Lawson took me to see a beach because I never had before.
Most are dead nice."
One is just plain dead.
"Well..." Jake shifted uneasily again as he thought about how to phrase this next piece of information, whilst rubbing the back of his neck. "See... the old Slytherin Head of house got... killed during the summer. That's what I heard. And I saw a kid die in the library in my first year."
