And he guessed there'd be no way for them to be seperate. He wondered if he and Lyra would be like them, but then decided that they wouldn't.
1. He wasn't a romance freak, just the vice versa: He avoided physical touch as much as possible.
2. There was still the possibility of Lyra not liking him in that way, despite all her blushings and behaviour.
3. He had learnt much from that couple--twelve-year-olds sucked at PDA.
But he thought he might be like them with Fallon, for she seemed calmer, and to his experiences calm people loved PDA and romance much more than in-a-good-way silly people like Lyra.
In any case though, he decided he wouldn't date this year. Because dating wasn't for 12 year-old kids. 'Wow, I made much philosophy!' he thought to himself and chuckled again, turning his gaze to Lyra. She seemed sleepy. But how would they partey if she slept? He had to find a way to wake her up, to make her hyper again. His mind showed him the answer: telling a joke. He was about to reach his pocket again when she got up to a sitting position and talked.
He laughed before answering. "Ooh I can guess," he said, still smiling. "Mine did the same, mom cried and gave me that look like she was sending me to death." He rolled his eyes as his mind skipped the part that he was also about to cry. "A lot of advice and blah blah." Actually he found his parents' advice handy, they talked good, except for the homeschool thing. But eventually, they too had accepted that it was wrong and had apologised. So yeah, he would listen to them. Talking like it was nothing felt as if he was betraying them, but he shrugged the feeling off quickly. As long as he listened and obeyed, there shouldn't be any problem.
He followed Lyra's finger and saw the posters. Oh, that was mean. As long as the werewolves took their potion, they were harmless. But he knew the "accident" in the assymble, and that showed they were still dangerous. To answer Lyra's question, he shrugged. "I think if the professors are strong enough to fight with their... wolfness, and as long as they take the potion, there is no problem."
He then heard a girl calling for him. He ran to the corridor, frowning, trying to recognise the voice. It was very familiar but... "Iris!" he shouted, but saw that her cutey boyfriend had already helping her up. See, they would never be seperate. Realising that he should say something, "Oh... hi." he said to the guy and gave a smile. It was a very awkward moment for Evan. He just stood there, not knowing what to do. Iris looked up ... Gah ... why did I have to shout? ... " Oh .. hi Evan - Sorry, didn't need your help after all ... I got the trunk off on my own." She smiled at him apologetically and went back to her compartment. It was good to see his friend, and now they were going to see each other every day at Hogwarts.
He also wondered where Fallon was. Probably swooning over Evan. He giggled in his head. He then looked outside the compartment to see a flyer on the window. "Huh?" He walked outside, pulled the flyer down with curiosity, walked back in and read it.
He read it with shock. What's wrong with werewolves at hogwarts??? They're contained aren't they? He put the flyer on Iris' lap. "Look at this!" Iris smiled as Aaron said he was ok. She remembered the initial reason why she blushed. Evan thought they were going out. And by the end of the week, so would the rest of Hogwarts. Great. She looked out of the window breifly before turning to busy herself with Luna's basket.
She looked up as Aaron went to the door to get the poster off it. She smiled at him before opening Luna's basket and let her come out. Luna meowed tiredly as she jumped onto the opposite seats.
Iris looked at the poster that Aaron had just dropped on her lap. It was the one she had looked at before. But she hadn't actually read it before. Iris's eyes widened with shock as she looked at the poster. "Who on Earth put these up? ... They have no right to do this ... " She frowned at the poster. "Professor Lupa wasn't ever an actual threat ... It was only at the assembly, but that wasn't her fault was it?" Iris asked quietly ... She wasn't really up for having a discussion about this.
