Of course she was sure Daisy would understand as someone they all knew had just been murdered, but Mariel was just going to act like she never had that moment of weakness. "So, come in and sit down," she motioned to the girl who was still in the doorway. Then she looked at her curiously at what she said. Accident? She wasn't sure what the girl was talking about - as she hadn't heard Sarah when she first came in, being to preoccupied with her thoughts. But maybe Sarah did, and she looked at the Hufflepuff girl quizzically for an explanation. Quote:

Catching the words that Daisy had said,Sarah looked between her and Mariel as they both gave her a quizzical look.Accident? What did I say? OH! Yes, that.Clearing her throat, she reached into her pocket and pulled out the crumpled parchment she had taken down from the wall just a little while earlier. "I was just muttering to myself about this," she explained, smoothing it out across her leg and holding it up for them to see. "I mean,I know we shouldn't really have werewolves teaching, but Lupa had managed her condition fine up until then. And I was under the impression that it was an accident that the cage opened like it did. But maybe that is just my view," she shrugged ,placing the flyer on top of Screech's cage. Both girls prompted her in as if they weren’t expecting any other company in the compartment. “Well, if you two can spare the room,” she said stepping inside. She turned to close the door and poked her head out hoping to find Vivianne, but it was too crowded. If I don’t find her on the train, I’ll find her at dinner. That was, at least one of the benefits for your best friend being in the same house as you.
Daisy plopped herself into a seat near the door and on the same side as Mariel. Houdini (in his cage) was placed on the seat next to her and up and out of the eyesight of the two owls on the floor. There was no good that could come out of tempting the owls with a mid-train snack was there?
Daisy reached out and took the paper from Sarah looking it over. “Oh this,” she said with a tone that implied a bit of disconcert. “I wasn’t there when this all happened, but I don’t know what the problem is. It wasn’t like Professor Lupa did it on purpose,” she paused. “Did she?”
