So it was a relief when, at the last minute, he was able to jump on the back of the train and find a decent compartment. Yes, he would be reserving this compartment for himself, Sabrina, Issy, of course, and anyone else they decided to tag along as long as they were bearable and nice. He surveyed the place, and after deciding that it was worthy of their presence, dumped his duffel bag on the floor, which fell with a thud, and sat down, a muffled poof coming from the seat due to the long period of time the foam was unused and unseated on. Looking around, he noticed several other students hustling and bustling about, looking for compartments and finding their friends, being noisy and rowdy.

Sigh. It was times like these when he really, really missed Gavin.

Ah well. No use crying over spilled milk, they always did say. Instead, laugh about it.

Stretching along the length of the compartment seat, Sam raised his arms behind his head and closed his eyes, waiting. He was sure his companions knew where to find him.

He didn't have his eyes closed for long, though, when he heard some kind of disturbance outside. He poked his head out of his compartment, and watched with curiosity as a boy seemed to be fiddling with something on the wall of the train. When the boy had backed away, Samson could not help but be curious.

The word 'werewolf' was what caught his eye first. He remembered the strange kid at Florean's who was screaming about werewolves. So, it was true then?

Sam took hold of the flyer and tried to tug it, but gave up on the first try when it wouldn't come of. Instead, he turned to the boy who had put it there.

"Oy. What's this about, then?"

He was rather fond of werewolves, from what he read of them.
Varius had suspected he would get a few people questioning his posters, and they had every right to he supposed - but he had planned on doing this with as little conflict as possible. "It's about a very serious issue," he simply stated before sticking another one of the posters outside another compartment.

"You see, we now have two werewolves on staff. Two dangers. Two life-threatening entities. The Headmaster was lucky Lupa didn't kill him last term or anyone else for that matter, but now we have two werewolves! Two! Not safe at all. Nope. Not safe," he murmured to himself, handing the older boy a poster all to himself.

Varius had overheard the girl and gave her a curt nod before handing her out a poster. "Just be careful ladies," he warned as he set off to stick up more.

But another part of him... didn't want to do that. Another part... another horrible, prejudiced part of him, was considering leaving up the posters, let everyone see.

Until his nicer and more natural side showed.

Jake grimaced and folded up the poster, putting it in the pocket of his oversized jeans for later reference.
Jake's actions didn't go unnoticed, but Varius simply assumed it was so he could look over it later or share it with his friends, otherwise he would have torn down all the other posters Varius' had put up. No matter - the more people aware of this unfortunate circumstance, the better.
