13. Quidditch

Diving and soaring through the skies on a Shooting Star (the best in those days). Smacking bludgers, maneuvering through the mass of Red/Gold and Green/Silver robes. He smacked a particulary nasty looking bludger toward Slytherin seeker, Avery, and it whizzed by his face, distracting him long enough for James to grab the Snitch. Sirius stood up on his broom. They had won the Quidditch Cup. He whizzed about the Quidditch Pitch, swooping in and out of the goals. They did it! They beat Slytherin! For the first time, the name Sirius Black would be engraved upon the Cup.


3. Transfiguration

Sirius sighed and walked into the Transfiguration room. Today, they would be turning porcupines into pincushions. Transfiguration was always a disaster and James and Sirius's table. Teacups with tails and whiskers. Pillows that still had wings. The hour passed quickly and before they knew it, Professor McGonagall was asking for their pincushions. James and Sirius had to carry their pincushions from the bottom, for there were spikes all over the top. McGonagall sighed. "D", she said. The boys got excited, the highest they had gotten that year was a D-. "You still fail," she said, and all excitement was quenched.
