She wanted to tell Evangeline that the reason she spoke like she was straight from a romance novel was because she was in love. That probably wouldn't be the best thing to say right now, though. "You know what, though, Evangeline? We all only have one life to live. We've got to take every opportunity while we can. If you truly feel you've made a mistake, I still say to let Clifford know that. If you're truly sincere, you don't have to worry about playing him around anymore."
Had she just made Anna laugh? And she had actually said she talked funny without actually wanting to be rude. Wow. Graduating was making her lose it. Either way, Anna was being nice, and she was right. Life was far too short to be wasted like that. She had to tell Clifford, before they got to London!

Merlin, that'd be difficult.

"Thank you ... Anna."
She finally said with a true, genuine smile playing across her lips for once. Hm. "I hope you have a really good life ahead of you."

And she meant it too.

Huh?

He didn't know.. all he seemed to know was the Salazar Slytherin collectable card he was currently staring at. He wasn't mesmerized enough not to hear the words she was quietly speaking though, and blinked in confusion.

She wanted to see him around...? She'd miss him...?

Were you meant to say things like that to the person you'd broken up with? To the person you said you were no longer in love with? To the person you asked to just ... stay away?

Jaw clenching slightly, Clifford didn't take his eyes from the card in his hands as his shoulders gave a half-hearted shrug. Eh.

"I'll miss you too."
Turning back to Clifford, she realised that she really shouldn't have said those words. There she was, not wanting to confuse him and bang! She just went and confused him, didn't she? Meh.

Forget him being confused! She was confused herself.

He said he'd miss her, but his body language was saying otherwise. Well, of course it was - he had moved on. He was no longer clinging to the past. There and then Evangeline understood that anna actually was wrong. It was far too late to tell him the truth.

He was gone.

Sighing a bit to herself, she reached for her bag and got out the book Peter had lent her. It seemed like the conversation was over here. "You don't have to lie to me out of sympathy." She told him softly, still sounding more hurt than she wished. Meh. And with a small shrug of her own, she looked away from him and opened the book.

A mute banshee? Really?
