Hmm...Dom, Clifford, Evangeline, Willow, and Dem. I think I got everyone. ^_^ Hiss!Roar!Growl!Caw! | Hermione's Double | The Little Three | Alecate
"Yup. Thanks, Dom," Anna said, replying to his congratulations for her having graduated. Oddly enough, having Dom in the compartment made things just a little less awkward. It was odd, simply because they last time she'd been with Dom, her lips had been pressed against his as a part of that stupid kiss bet she'd made with Evolette McKenna. She'd never even finished that bet either. It'd ended up with Gryffindor---a toss between Jack Fritzera or Zeke Weasley. She'd never gone for Zeke when she chickened out at the last minute. Ahh, well. She had Cale, so she really didn't need to worry about kissing all those random boys.
Just then Demetria Weasley poked her head into the compartment and gave Anna a sweet little goodbye message. "Awww. Thank you, Dem! That was really nice to hear," she replied. Dem had always been such a nice person, and Anna really hoped to keep in contact with her through the years. "Thanks for the being such a good friend, Dem! Keep in touch!" Just as quickly as the girl had appeared, though, she was gone. Anna supposed she was meeting up with a few other friends, too.
That left Anna right back to where she'd been before---in a state of awkwardness while sharing a compartment with Dom, Clifford, and Evangeline. She listened as Evangeline discussed allergies, but Anna didn't really buy that story. She thought about telling Evangeline that it was okay to cry and be sad, but then again, the girl didn't really like her and would probably tell her to shut her trap. She settled instead for giving her former co-prefect an understanding look.
"It does seem sort of weird to be graduating," Anna said, agreeing with Clifford. "It seems like I should be going home to do back-to-school shopping and getting myself ready for yet another year at Hogwarts. I don't think it'll really set in until September first comes, and I'm not at the station waiting for the Express." By then, she'd be Mrs. Newell, which sounded exciting, but equally as weird. She was going to be someone's wife. Good Merlin!
She grew quiet when the door slid opened and Willow Kovak poked in. Willow was a girl she'd always known but had never really got to know personally. That seemed a shame, too, because the girl seemed like a really cool person and was an awesome Quidditch player. She nodded a greeting and waved, too, in reply to Willow. ...and then Clifford was gone, leaving Anna with Evangeline and Dom.
Oh...Merlin's pants...Evangeline was now crying. Anna sort of glanced awkwardly from left to right, stopping when her eyes met with Dom. Should they say something? Reach out to her? Run away? Anna cleared her throat, a little uncomfortable with not knowing what to do. Sigh. This next act could either help she and Evangeline's non-existant friendship or make it a lot worse. She stood from her seat and walked over to the girl, sitting down beside her and giving Dom a "help-me-if-she-tries-to-kill-me" look. "Evangeline? Erm, is there anything I can do to help?" she asked. "I---I'm sorry." Gulp.
