Yet she still couldn't help but feel a tad bit hurt that Rachel hadn't told her anything. Even though they just established this boyfriend and girlfriend relationship a few moments ago, she used to tell her everything. Even the littlest of things. Guess they weren't too close anymore, eh? It was like that when Chase and Whit had got together, and they spent all their time together and left Livvy all alone. Maybe it was better if her friends were little boys who were still afraid of cooties. They'd still be by her side.
But she couldn't blame Rachel for not telling her about Reid... after all... Livvy had never told Rachel about Chase. But it hurt too much to think about it. Her mistakes and the feelings back then were too unbearable for a fourteen-year-old to take.
Yet.... here was Rachel... looking quite happy with this guy and Livvy felt so small and invisible. A part of her wanted a bit of companionship. Was she going crazy? She wanted companionship now? Hormones must be getting to her... yes... and now that Rachel has a boyfriend... it just added on.
Even though Livvy felt happy for Rachel, she wondered if their friendship was at an end. After all, she had heard many stories and seen it many times where the girl neglects her best friend and chooses her boyfriend over her. But Livvy wouldn't blame Rachel if she chose her boyfriend. He was pretty cute, no matter how unpleasant he was, and well Livvy...... she was just... Livvy.
Smiling gently, she turned to the two boys. "Come on boys... let's leave these two alone... where would you like to go?" Livvy asked, putting a hand on both their shoulders as she steered them away.
Blinking slightly at the sound of Livvy's voice Reid finally remembered that they weren't alone. "You don't need to leave. If you want to spend time with Rachel go ahead. Your friends after all and I suppose that it could be interesting to get to know you." Reid was trying to be friendly but finding it a tiny bit hard. He was so stressed recently but he never really let that show around Rachel, not wanting to bother her with inconsequential problems. However that stress was affecting his personality at the moment and he feared it would give Livvy a completely inaccurate opinion of him.
Turning back to Rachel he asked softly, "Would you like me to leave you alone with your friend. It seems like you two have a lot to talk about." he wanted to give her that option, even though he wanted to stay here with her he could see that her not telling Livvy about him would create some sort of strain on the two girl's friendship. And if Rachel seemed as if she was ignoring the girl or choosing him over her that could create a greater strain, something he didn't want to happen.
