"I helped some other students keep them at bay, stunning them and things. If it hadn't have been a scary situation it would have been fun!" That probably sounded weird, but she had enjoyed using her skills.Skills that she didn't know she had.
The Headmaster.Sarah suddenly remembered the look on the werewolf's face, the hunger in it's eyes,as it launched itself out of the cage, tearing into poor Professor Bontecou. The sight and smell of blood filled her senses again and she had to shake her head hard to get rid of them. "Yeah....I hope so too," she sighed, wrapping her arms tighter around her knees for comfort.
"You're welcome,Professor Dumont started making them" she smiled, putting the rest down on her lap, before taking another for herself. They really were delicious. "Oh yes I remember! We had fun then didn't we?" she laughed, remembering last summer as if it was yesterday.Lasca had been missing from Sarah's life for a while, she wasn't even sure if her friend was even in school right now.The look on Mariel's face told her she felt the same.
"Well.....you can come and stay with me,for a while, couldn't you?" Sarah knew the question would be a hard one to answer.Mariel's father was hardly a muggle lover, and she wasn't even sure that he knew about her,or what her friend had told her dad.
"I don't know why she'd think that," Sarah shrugged, the conversation turning to Wesley. "I think I managed to convince her that it was rubbish,we'd always be there for her." After all how could you abandon a sweet girl like Wesley? She was so nice to have around.
Sarah looked at Mariel quizically. Her friend appeared to be concerned about something, ever since she had introduced Luke. She didn't think that this was who she was going out with did she?! Sarah was sure she'd told her her boyfriends name was Ryder.Someone who, truth be told, she hadn't seen for a couple of weeks.Probably in the library again....
Reaching out she put her hand on Mariel's shoulder. "Are you ok? You look....worried about something."
Mariel mirrored Sarah's movements and got into her own cozy sleeping bag, then turned to look up at her incredulously. She had spoken as she had been in the thick of the situation, which Sarah soon confirmed to be true.
"You were there?" she asked, still staring at the Hufflepuff with wide eyes.
"Wow," she breathed in a low voice, clearly impressed with the story of Sarah's adventure. And although it sounded exciting, Mariel wasn't completely sure that she would have wanted to participate in something that sounded equally scary.
Finishing off the last off her s'more, Mariel nodded thoughtfully as she stared off at a random spot in the distance.
"Sure," she nodded.
"I'm sure I can find time to get away for a while." And although it was true that her father was no Muggle lover - extending to Muggle-borns as well, the fact that he seemed so busy with his new wife and family often allotted Mariel more freedom than she had in the past - plus she was nearly 15.
"Yes, I will be there," she confirmed with a nod of her head as she focused her attention back to her friend. She was certain she would find a way to spend some time with Sarah over the summer.
Mariel glanced down at the seemingly-reassuring hand on her shoulder, then looked up at Sarah, matching her quizzical expression.
"Oh... no, I'm fine," she began slowly. Sarah had thought something was the matter with
her.
"I was just... hoping you were okay after what was written in the Aparecium last week," she said quietly so the people around would not hear. Certainly Sarah had one of those magically changing parchments, the whole school seemed too after it was mixed in with some homework at the beginning of term. And although Mariel was typically not one for gossip, the juicy news of the rag became somewhat addicting.
"But you seem to be in such a good mood today... maybe you and Ryder already worked things out..." Of course, Mariel wasn't so sure she'd would be quite as forgiving if it had been her. Then again, Sarah was such an agreeable person that maybe she took things like that in stride... though that didn't mean she should be a doormat either, right? Her mind was in such a state of conflict. Taking a deep breath, she added,
"I'm always here if you need to talk." Even if it was about confusing things like boys.
