Reid beamed when he saw the expressions that were flickering over her face, most of them positive. He was especially happy with the final expression that settled there. Utter Delight. He knew that he should have asked her earlier.
Nodding almost imperceptibly at her question, one which he had only been able to hear as he was listening for her reaction, he held out his hand, silently willing her to take it.
"Of course that is if that's the way you want to define us. Personally I don't really like the titles since I've come to realise that at times they can mean very little. But I do want that level of a relationship with you, I mean I think we're already on that level. I just never got a chance to officially ask, which I was planning on doing when Livvy decided it would be a good time to come say hello." Reid explained, hoping that she'd get what he was saying, while making sure that he was speaking low enough that no-one but Rachel would be able to hear what he said.
