"Yeah sure,be my guest," she sighed, smiling and gesturing to the small space next to her. "No-one else is."
Clutching her puffy, Ravenclaw-blue sleeping bag under her arm, Mariel tentatively made her way out towards the advertised camp out. As she approached, her footsteps slowed, emerald green eyes scanning the numerous faces for any sign of familiarity. It seemed like ages seen since she had seen any of her friends - partly her own doing as she had felt quite anti-social lately and a bit... angsty, spending most of her time studying in the dorm and avoiding the screeches of mermen. She wasn't completely sure what had gotten her in such a disagreeable mood as of late... it couldn't be, ugh no, not hormones... She'd have to have a talk with Willow for some advice on how to deal with that. Her Quidditch captain was always able to keep such a level head about those issues.
Quickly snapping out of her thoughts, the 14 year old once again turned to look among the crowd. Somewhat nervously, she made her way past some people, not realizing there would be so many out tonight. Eyes flickering from one unfamiliar face to the next, the ends of her lips curled into a small smile despite herself at the sign of welcomed recognition.
Sitting herself down next to the Hufflepuff, Mariel grinned over at Sarah, who was looking up at an older boy, and cleared her throat to get the girl's attention.
"Long time, no see," she said to the girl she had hardly seen since moving back to her own dorm.
"Can you believe term's almost over?" At least now they would get a chance to talk, and maybe finalize some summer plans together.
